Russia’s Rosneft interested in oil refinery project in Ecuador
MOSCOW, Nov 29 (PRIME) -- Oil major Rosneft may participate in construction of a U.S. $15 billion refinery with a capacity of 300,000 barrels of oil daily and other projects in Ecuador, Foreign Trade Minister Pablo Campana said in an interview with PRIME on Wednesday.
“We have met with representatives of Rosneft to offer participation in the biggest project in Ecuador… Rosneft said that it is interested in the project and wells on the territory of the country. In particular, we discussed wells located at southeastern fields,” he said.
The Eloy Alfaro refinery is to produce Euro-5 standard fuel, including gasoline, aviation kerosene, diesel fuel, polypropylene and other products. A feasibility study has been completed and a construction site is ready.
